I started volunteering with the Taproot Foundation in 2010, partly to use my skills to give back to the community, but mainly to boost my portfolio with high-quality design projects. I’m very excited to showcase my first annual report design with Taproot! Here’s the result:
Collegiate Directions is a non-profit organization in Bethesda, MD that supports students over a six-year span, providing comprehensive counseling and tutoring services from 11th grade through college graduation. They help students to gain admission to selective four-year colleges, secure financial aid, obtain scholarships and offer academic and social support to help manage the transition to campus life.
For the design of their annual report, I chose diagonal lines to mimic the dynamic feel of their street sign logo. Some of the spreads include:
Scholar Stories
Financial Charts and Graphs
Reach and Acheivement
Visit Collegiate Directions to learn more about their organization and how they support low-income, first-generation college students.
